Initially released by the band's own Astral Ra imprint in a long-sold-out edition of 50 cassettes, Ivory Antler is proud to present Gates' seldom-heard The Prevailing Wind as one of the bands' two inaugural vinyl releases.* A companion piece to Moths Have Eaten the Core, the album was recorded during the same sessions and is meant to serve as a further exploration of similar forms and environments.
These recordings have been carefully remastered for 180 gram vinyl by James Plotkin in a physical presentation that features new artwork by photographer A.E. Casky and Gates mastermind Bryan Bray. This edition is strictly limited to 200 hand-numbered copies worldwide. Includes folded poster and digital download card.
